Elegant Stylish Engagement | Marie & Scott

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Marie and Scott’s Elegant Stylish Engagement session in the heart of Houston at Buffalo Bayou. This location was perfect for them! Both Marie and Scott work downtown, so it felt like the perfect spot to combine their love for the city with the beauty of nature. With the lush greenery and stunning views of the downtown skyline, the setting couldn’t have been more picturesque. And since they picked a Tuesday evening, it was super convenient for them to squeeze in the session after work!

Marie and Scott are the kind of couple you just know are meant to be together. They met through online dating (who says tech can’t lead to true love, right?)—and when they met in person, it was instantly clear that they were the perfect match. On their first date, Marie convinced Scott to take a break from his computer games, and they met up for drinks. The chemistry was undeniable! I couldn’t help but smile when they told me that Scott’s friends had encouraged him to shave off his mustache before the date. Can you imagine if he hadn’t? It might have been a different story!

The session itself was filled with laughter and love. Marie looked absolutely stunning in a flowing dress, and Scott was the picture of dashing elegance. As the sun began to set, the soft golden light made everything feel so romantic and intimate. We captured so many sweet moments of them holding hands, sharing glances, and enjoying each other’s company, all against the beautiful backdrop of Buffalo Bayou.

After the elegant stylish engagement shoot, they rewarded themselves with some well-deserved Mexican food and margaritas at Flora, just a few minutes away. A perfect way to cool off from the Houston heat and celebrate this exciting chapter of their lives. I can’t wait to be part of their wedding day in February 2024 at All Saints Church and The Bell Tower on 34th. It’s going to be amazing, and I know their elegant and stylish celebration will be one to remember!
